Rather than returning to permanent lodges each evening, you will spend your nights at selected public campsites inside or near Tanzania’s famous wildlife areas, allowing you to remain close to the sounds, landscapes and rhythm of the African wilderness.

Your safari begins with arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport before continuing to Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s Northern Safari Circuit. From there, the journey moves south to Tarangire National Park, a remarkable ecosystem known for elephants, ancient baobab trees and wildlife gathering along the Tarangire River.

The adventure then continues deep into Serengeti National Park, first through the wildlife rich Central Serengeti and later north toward the remote Northern Serengeti. Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

Your journey begins when you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where a representative from Tansania Toll Safaris will welcome you and assist with your transfer to Arusha.

The drive introduces you to Northern Tanzania through local villages, cultivated farmland and views of the surrounding highlands. When weather conditions are favourable, you may catch glimpses of Mount Kilimanjaro or Mount Meru.

Once in Arusha, you will check into your accommodation and receive a safari briefing covering the route, camping arrangements, park regulations and what to expect during the days ahead.

Tarangire National Park and Public Campsite

Elephants, Baobabs and Your First Night in the Wild

The journey passes through open plains and gradually rises toward the volcanic highlands. Depending on your timing and campsite arrangement, your guide may include wildlife viewing around the conservation area before continuing toward your overnight campsite.

The Ngorongoro Crater, an immense volcanic caldera, is famous for its extraordinary concentration of wildlife. The wider conservation area is also unique because wildlife and Maasai pastoral communities coexist across the landscape.
