Inside the crater, grasslands, wetlands, woodland and freshwater habitats support a remarkable concentration of wildlife. You may encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, wildebeest, zebras, hippos, hyenas, gazelles and numerous bird species.
The crater is also one of Tanzania’s important locations for possible sightings of the endangered black rhinoceros, making it a key destination for travellers hoping to experience the African Big Five.

Depending on your onward flight schedule, Tansania Toll Safaris will arrange your transfer to your Arusha hotel or onward to Kilimanjaro International Airport.

Camping Safari Experience
This itinerary uses public campsites, offering a simple but rewarding way to experience Tanzania’s national parks.
Public camping generally provides basic facilities and allows you to remain much closer to nature than conventional lodge based safaris. Your safari crew manages essential camp logistics, while your cook prepares meals during the journey.
You should expect comfortable adventure rather than luxury. What makes this experience special is waking to birdsong, eating beneath open skies and falling asleep surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.
